Wherever Nina Lies Review

Hey everyone, another review! I read this cover to cover last night. It was awesome :) If a book can keep me up until almost 4 in the morning then I know it's good!

Description, courtesy of Amazon: Nina was beautiful, artistic, wild . . . and adored by her younger sister, Ellie. But one day, without any warning, Nina disappeared. Two years later, Ellie can't stop thinking about her sister. Although everyone else has given up hope that Nina will return, Elile just knows her sister is out there, somewhere. If only Ellie had a clue where to look. And then she gets one, in the form of a mysterious drawing tucked into the pages of a book. Determined to find her sister, Ellie takes off on a crazy, sexy, cross-country road trip with the only person who believes she's got a chance -- her hot, adventurous new crush. Along the way, Ellie finds a few things she wasn't planning on. Like love. Mysteries. Lies. And something far ore shocking -- the truth.
My thoughts: This was such a fantastic book! It kept me up so late, and I had to read it until it was over. A true page turner.
I loved all the characters (well, ALMOST all of them ;D), and how real they seemed. They all had true personality, and you could really tell what they were thinking and feeling without the book coming out and saying it.
It WAS kind of creepy though. But in the scary, good kind of creepy, with suspense. If that makes any sense :P I didn't expect it to be this really great thriller/mystery as it turned out- I really liked that though :)
Now for the things I didn't like about it so much:
It all just happened WAY too easily. Like, Ellie meets this random dude at a party, she knows him for less than 24 hours, and then she tells him about her sister being missing and he's all, "Hey, let's go on a random road trip across the country!" That was kind of too weird for me. But I guess it had to work easily to ge on with the plot.
It also took a little too long to get to the good part, but when you finally got there it makes up for it for the most part. Besides, getting there is great, too, because of the fantastic, original writing!
So, overall, it's a really great book, especially for a debut novel- I recommend it.
